Pocket Pick-Me-Up #1

Our greatest struggles often create our greatest achievements. This episode of Pocket Pick-Me-Ups is all about the #Brave Bears bringing comfort to patients and their families dealing with infantile spasms. The genius intellect of Kate Kostolansky brings us a collection of little bears, some with EEG caps and backpacks, others simply bringing comfort to the siblings of the patients, and some bringing the whole story in a cute children’s book.

Don’t let the cover of the book kid you, this children’s book was written by Kate with collaboration from pediatric neurologists and is available in 3 languages. Kate’s vision is to see a world with less infantile spasms, more knowledge about the positive outcomes that can follow a diagnosis of infantile spasms, and to help children complete their EEGs and EMU stays with courage and fun.
